On July 23, 2010 we went in for our second ultrasound to have our baby measured and to find out the sex of our baby. I have never been so excited for something in my life!! Our appointment was not until 2:45 in the afternoon so I had to try to keep myself busy otherwise I thought I would explode!
Once the ultrasound began, I still had to be patient because they measure everything, their legs, heart, head spine, and look for things like down syndrome or spina bifida. I also think our ultrasound technician was a trainee because she took a very long time, and had to have someone come in and check her work.
Finally, after two people scanning me, and a very full bladder, they asked us if we wanted to find out the sex of the baby. I felt like I could have screamed yes, but I politely and collectively said, "Yes we do, please!"
The only thing is, that darn baby of ours had her legs crossed, or her knees together everytime we tried to look! I could feel myself almost ready to cry because I was really looking forward to finding out what we were having. I prayed and said, "Lord, open up our baby's legs!!! Please!" Right after that, they checked one more time, and that baby's legs were spread eagle. It was rather obvious that no boy parts were present.
So, we are having ourselves a baby girl. Ella Rose Munoz will be her name. I am so in love with her already and all I have seen of her is some warped ultrasound pictures of things that possible look like her leg, or her head. I cannot wait to meet her, and am filled with so much joy right now I am afraid I might burst. I have always wanted to be a mom and now it is happening!
Thank you to all that have prayed and please continue to pray for baby Ella's health while she grows bigger in my belly!
