About a month ago, I was in the middle of finishing my portfolio for my student teaching, and was not feeling so swell. I was very tired, and had some horrible stomach cramps. I thought for sure I was getting the flu. After being convinced by my sister in law Shawn to take a pregnancy test, I did so, not expecting to be pregnant at all. The test came out positive (after a very long 3 minutes of waiting), and I indeed have a little baby in there that will be born December 24th, 2010!!!
Its amazing to me that Jesse and I will be parents. It brings me so much joy to think about, and even to see Jesse as a Dad. He is going to be the best Dad ever! I have always wanted to be a wife and a mom, and now God is truly giving me all the desires of my heart!!
I went to my first doctor's appointment already where I just met with the nurse, but my first actual ultrasound will be June 1 where Jesse and I will get to hear our little baby's heartbeat. I cannot wait!!!
On another very important note, I graduated from college! I finally did it! Friday May 21, I got my bachelors degree...YAY!!!!! It was such a long and hard road, and it is the best feeling in the world to be done with school. After I receive my degree and my teaching certificate, I plan on substitute teaching in the fall.
I ended a big part of my life with school and I am beginning a new big thing with the baby coming. I could not be more happy!
Here is a picture from my graduation...
